The Capricorn phase of our journey coincides with the Winter Solstice, considered by cultures across the world as the most significant dates in the annual calendar - and to which many of our ancient stone monuments seem to have been specifically aligned. It marks the time of the Sun's return, an event translated by many religious as the time of the birth of the spiritual teacher - Jesus, Mithras and Horus are obvious examples. So Capricorn carries a great spiritual weight, a burden of responsibility, a model of leadership which people can look up to and learn from.

Capricorn marks that time of the year when we must face the cold, harsh realities of winter and must build strong shelters and prepare ourselves for the challenges of the season. The Capricorn perspective compels us to build for the future, to commit to a long-term plan and to stand firm in our commitment.

So, in our Capricorn workshop, we explore our relationship to vocation and whether we can commit to a definite direction in life and stand behind that with the weight of our own conviction.
