Having ventured into the dark waters of Scorpio's underworld, and risen phoenix-like from the ashes, new vistas of possibility open up as we enter the sign of Sagittarius. This is the season of advent, when the inner, spiritual fire is rekindled and the promise of eternal life becomes realised as a genuine possibility. In the Sagittarius cycle, we anticipate the re-birth of the Sun, celebrated in many cultures as the birth of their spiritual teacher. In the Christian, Mithraic, Zorastrian & Egyptian traditions, the divine incarnates through a spiritual teacher, born three days after the winter solstice on 25th December. Sagittarius, as the sign of advent, anticipates this great birth, and like the three wise men of the Bible, we are inspired to look to the stars for inspiration and guidance as we journey toward that possibility.
